Features

Live map

Know where everyone is before you ask.

  1. Players and sleepers with their Steam picture and name.
  2. Cargo, patrol heli, Bradley, Chinook and locked crates when they are out.
  3. Grid square and nearest monument for every player, so “where is he” takes one look.
  4. Sleepers on or off. Select a marker to open the player.
Part of the live map with [ZrDs]NayZaxTv and ~GP~soulak on the north coast, the Bradley icon in the middle, and the list: Bradley at U12 near Launch Site, then five players with grid square, monument and distance.
Nyx, live.

Players and profiles

The whole history on one screen.

  1. Time on, ping, health and the anti-cheat violation level, with the country and the Steam account.
  2. Chat card, show on map, watch. Get an alert when someone you watch joins or leaves.
  3. Notes stay on the server, survive wipes, and every admin sees them.
  4. Mute, kick, ban. Kicks and mutes wait 5 seconds so you can undo; bans need a hold.

Further down the profile: team and clan, reports, sessions, and the combat log with each fight summed up.

The profile of ~GP~soulak from Greece: online for 4h 20m, 61 ms ping, 86 hp, violation 0.0; Chat card, Show on map and Watch; a notes box; first seen 4h ago on day 23 of this wipe; Mute, Kick and Ban at the bottom.
Nyx, live. SteamID blurred.

F7 reports

Read the report with its evidence, not just the text.

  1. Who reported whom, with both players one step away.
  2. Where the accused stood when the report came in, their earlier reports and what was done about them.
  3. The chat around it from both players, minutes before and after.
  4. Reply in game, or mute, kick and ban from the same screen.
A cheating report on el_gato from Elsa: at report time he was at O7 near Airfield, 160 m; one earlier report, handled; muted a day ago by mika. Beside it the chat: Elsa says she got domed through a wall, el_gato answers ez.
Test server. Nyx has had one F7 report this wipe; this is what a busy night looks like.

Bug reports from players

Players type /bug. You answer from your phone. They get it in game.

  • A window in game: pick what is broken, write what happened, send.
  • You get an alert and answer with a quick reply or your own words. The player reads it in chat, at once or when they next join.
  • Statuses the player sees: Open, Working on it, Fixed, Won't fix, Closed.
  • Pay a reward for a good report with one button, through a reward command you set.

How /bug works on your server

The Bug reports window in Rust: tabs New report and My reports, six categories from Building to Something else, a text box for 10 to 900 characters, and Send report.

Chat, console and moderation

Read chat as it happens, answer as SERVER.

  • Team chat marked, clan tags kept. The console is a tab away, with a command bar that says what a command does before it runs.
  • Timed mutes, private warnings, kicks and bans. Word filters and a Flagged chat inbox for the rest.
  • Signs and paintings: see what was painted where, clear it with a hold, ban the painter.
  • Every action lands in the audit log with who, when and why.
Chat on Nyx: BLOODy940 says yo, the server announces the top candy collector, sasha78ru#evolution of [kfc] asks for a kit in team chat. At the bottom: Message everyone, shown as SERVER.
Chat. Nyx, live.
Signs on the map as a grid of paintings, each with the painter's picture and its grid square, such as S24, K6 and X15.

Plugins you already run

Shop, Clans Reborn, RaidLimits, Economics, in the app.

Purchases, clans, balances and raid limits sit next to the player they belong to, and each has its own list under Server.

What the app shows and does for each plugin

Shop purchases on Nyx: [mist]Red heathcliff bought 64 pistol bullets for $60 and 4 high velocity rockets for $400, ~GP~soulak a bolt action rifle for $340 and an auto turret for $270, [kfc]ShogunRaiden 6 homemade landmines for $360.

Staff, roles and alerts

Give your mods the app, not the console.

  • Owner, admin, moderator. Moderators get players, chat, reports, kicks, mutes and notes; no bans, no live map.
  • Staff overview: who is on, in game or in the app, and what each of them did this week.
  • Alerts on your phone and PC: F7 reports, chat keywords, watched players, server down, wipe, bug reports. With quiet hours.
  • Mod updates from the app. The mod reloads in a few seconds; players stay connected.
Staff: Captain Cargo, moderator, in game and online; Luna and rustyspoon, owners; and the phones paired with the app.
Staff. Test server.
Alert settings: F7 reports, chat keywords, watched players, server health, server down, plugin errors, bans, wipe detected and bug reports, each with its own switch.

Supported plugins

If your server runs one of these on Carbon or Oxide next to NyxBridge, the app picks it up by itself. If it doesn't, its rows stay hidden and the mod only looks for it every few minutes.

PluginWhat you seeWhat you can do
Shop by Mevent Every purchase, sale and money transfer, server-wide and on each player's profile: item picture, amount, price, time. Search by player, SteamID or item; sort the columns on a PC. Read only. Taken from Shop's own log.
Clans Reborn by k1lly0u Every clan with its owner, members and their rank (owner, council, moderator, member), who is online, allied clans. The clan tag on each player. Create, rename and disband clans; invite or add players, kick, promote, demote, make owner; message the clan. Sent through the plugin's own admin command and written to the audit log.
RaidLimits by mr01sam Raids left and bonus raids per player, the limit and the next reset, and their recent raids by grid square. Read only.
Economics by Wulf Each player's balance and rank on their profile, and every account, richest first, with the server total. Read only. Also pays bug report rewards if you set the reward command to it.

Download NyxBridge.dll and drop it into your server's HarmonyMods folder. Restart the server, or run harmony.load NyxBridge.

  2. Type nyx.pair

In the server console. You get a code that works for 10 minutes.

  3. Enter the code in the app

Open the app, choose Add server (Enter pairing code the first time) and type the code. Done.

  1. Open the web app in Safari.
  2. Tap Share.
  3. Add to Home Screen, then open 4AM Control from your Home Screen.

The guide

Everything after the three steps, on one page: inviting your staff, handling a report, what players see with /bug, and what to do when pairing fails.

FAQ

Does it slow my server?
No. On our test server the mod costs about 0.5 µs of each server frame; at 30 fps a frame lasts 33,333 µs. Type nyx.perf in the console to measure it on yours.
Is my data safe?
The app and your server talk end-to-end encrypted. Reports, notes and bans stay on your server. The relay in between can't read the messages and keeps no player IPs; the mod keeps a salted hash and the country, never the address.
What do my players install?
Nothing. The mod runs on the server, and /bug works in the game they already have.
Do I need Carbon or Oxide?
No. NyxBridge is a Harmony mod and runs on a plain server. If you also run Shop, Clans Reborn, Economics or RaidLimits on Carbon or Oxide, it reads them.
Moderator, admin or owner?
Moderators handle players, chat, reports, kicks, mutes and notes; no bans and no live map. Admins can do everything except destructive console commands and managing devices. Owners can do everything. The first phone you pair is the owner.
Does it work on an iPhone?
Yes, as a web app on your Home Screen: open it in Safari, then Share, Add to Home Screen, and always start it from there. Alerts on an iPhone only work from the Home Screen app (iOS 16.4 or later); that is how Apple allows push for web apps.
What does it cost?
Pricing comes after the Alpha.
It's an Alpha. What can break?
Screens and wording change between versions, and a Rust update can switch off a single feature until the mod is updated; the server log says which. Your server keeps running either way.
